Spend the Night at The Field Museum
CHICAGOOn December 22, Twentieth Century Fox will release the new film Night at the Museum starring Ben Stiller as Larry the night watchman who is working in a natural history museum after dark when all of the exhibitions come to life. The Field Museum is offering families the opportunity to embark on their own adventure at the Fields overnight event Dozin with the Dinos on December 29, 2006, January 5 and 12, 2007.

In the movie, Night at the Museum, a dinosaur skeletonmuch like The Field Museums Sue, the T-rexscavenges through the Museum looking for Larry. This is just the beginning of Larrys wild adventure while working his night shift at the Museum of Natural History. Throughout the night, the exhibitions come to life; Roman gladiators and cowboys emerge from the Museums dioramas, while Attila the Hun, played by Patrick Gallagher, causes major destruction to the neighboring exhibitions. Amidst all the chaos, the only person Larry can turn to in this crisis is Teddy Roosevelt, a statue-come-to-life, played by Robin Williams. Other characters in the movie include Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney who star as other employees at the Museum.

At The Field Museums Dozin with the Dinos overnight event, kids can take a flashlight tour of ancient Egypt, prowl an African savannah with man-eating lions, and take a stroll through the Royal Palace in Bamun, Africa. At the end of the night, kids can spread their sleeping bags amidst some of the Museums most popular exhibitions. Families will create memories they will cherish for years to come.
The event includes an evening snack and breakfast, and is intended for children ages 6 to 12. The overnight begins at 5:45 p.m. and goes until 9 a.m. the next day. Cost is $47, members are $40.
